Black Friday Sales

I am a sales fiend... I love shopping, so I will be stalking the sales this Friday for Black Friday deals.  I am in Canada and didn't even realize how big Black Friday Sales were until last year, so needless to say I was not prepared.  Well this year I am all set!

I started writing my Christmas list a couple days ago. Thoughts of Christmas foods and smells started to trickle into my head as I tried to concentrate. I finally gave in and started my morning mission, making my house smell oh so good. Hmmm apple pie maybe? No, that’s really daddy’s favorite, not mine. Oh, chocolate chip cookies! Well, just a couple days after Halloween, chocolate is really the last thing I need, or want to see right now. Something healthier……….hmmmmmm.

Going Green

Going green. A slightly exhausted phrase that is everywhere these days: our homes, our schools, our vehicles,  grocery stores, at work,  cleaning products, our clothes, our diapers.

As many of you know Laundry detergents are not all made equally, especially where cloth diapers are concerned.  I was always a "Purex Naturals" fan, I didn't find it left a lot of residue, I could purchase it locally and it was cheap.  Boy was I wrong!

I have had a few questions about where "Married With Diapers" came from.  I do own a natural parenting boutique, but that is actually not what made me think of this name (as a whole).  My life revolves around diapers, and my customers (aside from my family who you all know come first).  In February 2010, I was planning a trip to Halifax with this guy I had been seeing for the last few weeks (6 weeks) we wanted to get away, it was our second trip to the city together, we went to the Guns N Roses Concert before, and we had a blast!

When it comes to groceries, I live to save money. I have 6 daycare mouths to feed each day, PLUS my family of 4. One of the most expensive parts of my budget is fresh fruits and vegetables.  Luckily for me, there are a few veggies that I can grow well in my garden. My freezer is probably wondering just WHO is going to eat all those yellow beans!
